Mat making is an outreach ministry of Holy Cross Lutheran Church and Orphan Grain Train.

Your old plastic grocery bags could be helping someone. Each month, volunteers at Holy Cross Lutheran Church turn hundreds of plastic bags into mats for the homeless. Why? In winter, homeless shelters could be filled to capacity, meaning some will be sleeping on the floor. The mats provide a surprisingly comfortable surface for those most in need.
