The mission of Holy Cross Lutheran Church is:  GROWING TOGETHER in Christ’s love & REACHING OUT as His disciples.

What does this mean?

It means LIVING IN CHRIST.

As we live in Christ, we study God’s Word to grow in our understanding of what God has said.  We follow Jesus’ example as we go to our Father in prayer, communicating with Him and discerning His will for our lives.  And we give witness to what Christ is doing in our lives as we engage the world around us, beginning in our own homes and communities and places of work.

It means GROWING IN COMMUNITY.

As we grow in community, we gather together for worship around God’s Word and Sacraments.  We fellowship with one another as we eat together and play together and study God’s Word – together.  And we grow as God’s stewards as we care for God’s creation and the people He has entrusted into our lives.

It means MATURING IN OUR CALLING.

As we mature in our calling, we live a life on mission in the world as we seek tangible ways to serve others.  We put our God-given gifts into action as we lead others in love for God and love for our neighbors.  And we look for ways to expand God’s Kingdom through reproducing.

“Then Jesus came to His disciples and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20
