REACHING OUT as Jesus’ disciples:  In the ‘Great Commission’ we are charged by our Savior Jesus Christ to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). This means that instead of waiting for people who don’t know Jesus to come to us, we need to go to them; to reach out to the many that are in search for the Truth (Acts 1:7-8). Joining in fellowship with other believers we together invite our family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers to experience life with us (1 Thessalonians 2:8). And as we work to expand God’s Kingdom here on earth, we seek tangible ways to serve others as we meet the needs of our community through acts of compassion and mercy (Micah 6:8). For it’s in partnering with God where He is already at work that we intentionally reach into our community and world with the love of Jesus (John 12:26).
